MAAS Services and Events


Midland/Odessa Area AIDS Support programs benefit people living with HIV/AIDS by providing benevolent assistance, but also provides patients and their families with emotional support by hosting the only HIV/AIDS support group in the Midland/Odessa area. In addition to weekly support group meetings and a variety of other ongoing services and events, MAAS also developed and delivers HIV/AIDS
prevention education to public schools, conferences and a wide variety of
public forums.

Group Counseling & Individual Support
Weekly support groups, monthly socials, food and transportation relief/assistance, free individual counseling, financial assistance upon extreme need, Bible study, movie days, Thanksgiving dinner, World AIDS Day, Christmas party and more...

Prevention Education Classes
MAAS goes into Junior, Senior High and Freshman schools every semester, in Midland and Odessa, and provides abstinence-based HIV-AIDS-STD prevention education. Presentations have been made throughout Texas, in Florida and are coming soon to schools in New Mexico.

HIV/AIDS/STD Testing Assistance
MAAS representatives frequently accompany clients on doctor visits, providing accurate counsel and comfort, and also assist prospective clients and students from area schools with the psychological and logistical concerns and information related to being tested for HIV/AIDS. Speaking Engagements
Judy Warren, Founder and Executive Director of MAAS, routinely speaks at news conferences, AIDS conferences, for church congregations and public schools... any audience or venue interested in the current AIDS outlook, what "safe sex" is, and a fresh perspective on how confronting and overcoming the stigma of AIDS can strengthen and mature entire communities. World AIDS Day
MAAS organizes and conducts special church services each year for World AIDS Day. Each year, clients, students and concerned community members join together to show their solidarity in fighting this population-shattering epidemic. Annual Fundraiser
MAAS has organized Broadway in the Basin for many years now, as the organization's premier annual fundraising event. Join MAAS & friends in October at the historic Yucca Theatre in downtown Midland.
